A vintage hand-knotted "Tulu" (shag piled) rug from Central Anatolia, Turkey. It is made of finest natural undyed sheep wool. These charming and somewhat Primitive small rugs with long lustrous wool pile were produced for daily use by nomads in Central Anatolia until third quarter 20th century. Today these highly decorative rugs are also considered collectible as each one is one of a kind and representing a diminishing form of textile and tribal art.
