Hand-Knotted Vintage Anatolian Rug, 100% Wool

A vintage hand-knotted Tulu (Turkish word for thick piled) rug from Konya in Central Anatolia, Turkey. These simple and somewhat Primitive small rugs with lustrous wool pile were produced for daily use by nomads and villagers in Konya region of Central Anatolia, circa 1970s. Today these decorative rugs with contemporary appeal are also considered collectible as each one is one of a kind and representing a diminishing form of textile and tribal art.
