An unusual and unique hand-knotted "Tulu" rug from Central Anatolia, Turkey. The rug is traditionally woven in two pieces and connected in the centre. These charming small rugs with lustrous wool pile were produced for daily use by nomads and villagers in Konya region of Central Anatolia until 1960s. Today these decorative rugs with Minimalist designs are also considered collectible as each one is one of a kind and representing a diminishing form of textile and tribal art.
