Vintage Handwoven Turkish Kilim, Colorful Striped Flatweave Wool Rug, Adjustable Size

This authentic vintage Turkish kilim rug is made from two traditional flatwoven kilim panels, originally handwoven from 100% wool by nomadic communities in Eastern Turkey. The panels have been carefully joined by hand in our workshop to create a larger room-size floor covering while preserving the character and history of the original weavings.
The rug features a bold horizontal striped design in rich shades of red, green, dark navy, black, and warm tan. Its simple repeating bands create a balanced geometric composition with a timeless appearance that works especially well in modern and contemporary interiors.
These vintage Anatolian kilims were originally woven for everyday use as floor coverings in tents and winter homes rather than for commercial export. Their sturdy construction, practical flatweave surface, and understated designs reflect the traditional lifestyle and skilled craftsmanship of Eastern Turkish nomadic weavers.
A durable cotton twill backing is sewn to the reverse for additional strength, stability, thickness, and a smooth finish. The rug is lightweight yet sturdy, making it suitable for living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, entryways, offices, hotels, restaurants, and other residential or commercial interiors.
