Mid-Century Handmade Turkish Oushak Wool Area Rug with Medallion Design

An impressive, hand-knotted Turkish area rug from the 1960s with distressed low wool pile on cotton foundation. It features an intricate, large central medallion in sand/gold color against a slightly greenish gray background. The border and corner pieces are filled with equally intricate and well-drawn floral heads and scrolling vines.

 The rug is heavy and lays flat on the floor, in very good condition with no issues, sturdy and suitable for areas with high foot traffic. It has been washed professionally and can be used in both residential or commercial interiors.
