One-of-a-Kind Vintage Hand-Knotted Turkish Rug in Red and Ivory

This vintage hand knotted Turkish area rug was originally made in the 1960s. It features a central medallion in faded navy blue, flanked on either side by two vases holding bouquets of dainty blossoms in a carmine red field decorated with more dainty blossoms. The curvilinear corner pieces in ivory bring a welcome sense of gentle movement to the design. The main border is in ivory and filled with classical motifs of rosettes, palmettes connected by angular vines.
This rug has low wool pile on cotton foundation. It is in good condition and sturdy, can handle high foot traffic. It is deep-washed and clean. It can bring a touch of color and antiquated charm to many interiors.
