Vintage Hand-Knotted Turkish Double Medallion Rug in Terracotta, Navy Blue and Ivory, 100% Wool

This vintage hand knotted Turkish rug features two linked geometric medallions in cornflower blue decorated with free floating small floral heads and star motifs against a plain field in soft, faded madder red. The corner pieces have a dark, black background and are filled with large, geometric star motifs in gold, brown, coral pink, soft yellow and lavender. The same theme of colorful large star motifs is echoed in the main border. The inner and outer guard strips feature dainty florals.
The rug is in good condition, sturdy and has soft medium sheep's wool pile. Its soft and rich color palette and geometrically rendered classical design would make it a great complementary piece a great variety of interiors.
