Vintage Hand-knotted One-of-a-Kind Turkish Tulu Rug with Niche Design

This one-of-a-kind vintage tulu rug is made of hand-spun and hand-dyed lamb’s wool, therefore it is very soft and luscious and feels comfortable under your feet. The rug has a niche design surrounded with bunches of stylized flowers in a warm and lively color palette of beige, grass green, blue and scarlet red. Rugs of this sort with colorful quirky designs and lustrous wool pile were produced for daily use by nomads and villagers in the Konya region of Central Anatolia until the 1970s. Today they are considered collectible as each of them is one-of-a-kind and represents a disappearing form of textile and tribal art.
