This is fantastic re-production of a 17th century Ottoman rug of the so called "Transylvanian rugs" group. The actual rug is in the Evangelical church of Bistrita (Bistritz) in Northern Romania today.
This identical re-production was handmade in Central Anatolia by probably the most skilful and expert rug weavers of modern Turkey. It is made of the finest hand-spun wool that can be found in Anatolia and all colors are sourced from natural plants, flowers and roots so they would retain their beauty for centuries.
