Cotton and Goat Wool Nomadic Kilim Rug
These authentic flat-weaves (Kilims) from Eastern Turkey were handwoven by Nomads circa 1970s to be used as floor coverings in their tents. They were made to use for everyday life rather than re-sale and export purposes and today they are very popular in interior design world for their modern, minimalist designs and affordable prices. We have traveled extensively across Turkey in the last twenty years and carefully picked the sturdy and aesthetically beautiful Kilims, pile rugs and other authentic handmade works of textile, tribal and folk art which are getting harder and harder to find especially in good condition. We now hand-stitch these old flat woven Kilim rugs together in our workshop to create room size and custom size floor coverings that are practical, very decorative and suitable for contemporary residential and commercial interiors. Please feel free to inquire for custom sizes and designs that we can create for you in any size you need in approximately two weeks.
Very good condition, sturdy and clean, finely woven, could handle everyday traffic.
