Cute Mid-Century Tulu Rug

A vintage hand-knotted "Tulu" (Turkish word for "long piled") rug from Konya in Central Anatolia, Turkey. These charming small rugs with simple contemporary designs and thick lustrous wool pile were produced for daily use by villagers in Konya region of Central Anatolia, until 1970s. Today these beautiful rugs work well with modern decor and they are also considered collectible as each one is one of a kind and representing a diminishing form of textile and tribal art.
