Large Vintage Cotton Anatolian Rag Rug, Hand-Woven Kilim with Striped Design

A large patchwork of authentic flat-weave (Kilim) pieces from Eastern Turkey, handwoven by Nomads, circa mid-20th century to be used as floor coverings in their tents and winter homes. This lovely patchwork kilim features a simple striped design of assorted pieces in mostly muted, earthy tones interspersed with red and blue.

Today these kilims are quite desirable pieces in the interior design world for their modern simplicity. We traveled extensively across Turkey in the last 20 years and carefully picked these sturdy, beautiful kilims, pile rugs and other authentic handmade works of textile, tribal and Folk Art which are getting harder to find especially in good condition.

We now hand-stitch these vintage flat-woven Kilim rugs together in our workshop to create room size and custom size floor coverings that are practical, very decorative and suitable for both contemporary residential and commercial interiors.
