This vintage hand-knotted Tulu rug originates from Central Anatolia, Turkey, and is handcrafted from 100% natural handspun wool. Its soft wool pile, organic texture, and distinctive handmade character reflect the traditional weaving heritage of Anatolian nomads and village artisans.
The rug features a bold architectural niche design in deep burgundy, framed by dark blue and warm taupe geometric bands. A broad olive green field surrounds the central composition and is decorated with stylized floral and plant motifs in cream, pink, purple, burgundy, and soft gray. The light beige outer border includes small angular and star-like details, while the natural ivory fringe adds an authentic handmade finishing touch.
