Vintage Hand-knotted Anatolian Village Rug with Geometric Medallions

A one-of-a-kind vintage Turkish rug that is very finely hand-knotted with low wool pile on wool foundation made in the 19.. It has a beautifully detailed and well-drawn design of three large geometric medallions running across its length and a plethora of geometric star motifs in varying sizes and shapes adorning both the field and the large inner border in their alternating, dynamic patterns. The three-layered border suite is also decorated with incredibly rich and varied detail at every level.

The rug has a color palette of faded shades of indigo and tomato red as well as beige.  It is in very good condition, sturdy and as clean as a brand new rug (deep-washed professionally).
