One-of-a-Kind Fine Vintage Handmade Ladik Wool Rug in Soft Colors

A finely hand knotted vintage Anatolian wool rug from Ladik, Konya in beautiful pastel tones of salmon pink, sand, sage green and beige.

The centerpiece of the rug is a large, intricately-drawn medallion surrounded with floral and leafy vine patterns that fill the ivory field. The four spandrels that feature similar patterns with more florals are separated from the field through the use of a warmer color, sage green, and a border of linked leaves meandering through the edges of the field, bringing with it a delicate sense of movement.

The inner and outer borders echo the medallion at the centre in color while the main border sets a contrast to the smaller and integrated patterns in the field with its bigger and more distinct stylized flower heads.

This gorgeous rug is made of wool pile on cotton foundation, finely hand knotted, in well-preserved condition and professionally cleaned. It will be a great addition to any room with its soothing color palette, sense of movement and very intricate and well-drawn features.
