Vintage Handmade Turkish Kyseri Area Rug in Neutral Colors

A finely hand-knotted vintage Turkish carpet from 1960s with a beautiful, nuanced color palette of soft, neutral tones including stone beige, light brown, very light sage green as well as dark green tinged with black.  The rug features a lozenge shaped rectilinear medallion at its center and the rest of the stone beige field is very intricately decorated with lozenge shaped floral lattices. It is separated with serrated edges from the large corner pieces that have the same motifs against a light brown background, creating contrast and bringing more interest to the design. The main border has two guard strips that feature well-detailed, dainty florals and geometric bands on each side and is more sparsely decorated with smaller floral heads in lighter tones.

The rug has even low wool pile on cotton foundation. It is heavy and lays flat on the floor. It is in very good condition with no issues, professionally washed, sturdy and suitable for high foot traffic in both commercial and residential interiors.
