An antique Oushak rug from the first half of the 20th century with a rare square size of 8x9.5 ft. It rug has medium wool pile on wool foundation, is in good condition, very clean and sturdy.

It features a large lozenge-shaped medallion in red, brown, lavender and ivory colors against a softly glowing plain field in vermilion red. The corner pieces echo the medallion with their layers, design and color story. The border is filled with larger versions of the motifs in the rest of the rug such as geometric floral heads and large, angular leaves with serrated edges against a soft, deep brown.
