A vintage hand knotted "Tulu" (Turkish word for rugs with thick, cozy wool pile) rug.

Made of natural un-dyed handspun wool.

These simple, functional and small rugs with lustrous wool pile were produced for daily use by nomads and villagers in Konya region of Central Anatolia until, 1960s.

Today these decorative rugs with minimalist appeal are also considered collectible as each one is one of a kind and representing a diminishing form of textile and tribal art.
